We spend LOTS of time at the soccer fields...especially the ones with playgrounds!

Again it has been so long I almost did two things. First, I almost posted a "GONE FISHIN" sign indefinetly. Second, I almost forgot my password. Damn momnesia. It took me a few tries but I finally got it. Sigh of relief, for all I am sure. Smiles.

Long ago our friend Amy brought her camera over and we played. Great to have a friend who is a genius behind the lens. Thanks for playing Amy. I am pretty sure I made it worth your while with a massive pitcher of Sangria and an afternoon by the pool. Summer I miss you. I miss keeping up with my pedicures because I spent so much time in bare feet by the pool, usually with a cold beverage in hand. I am, however also ready for scarves and hats. I'm over this blah, eighty degree-too hot for boots-too fall for flip flops weather. Here are some pictures from that long ago summer day.

The Dream Academy - Life in a Northern Town

finally! the answer to the below trivia question. told ya you'd know it!

Friday, August 1, 2008

FRIENDS!
Tuesday went something like this-
Me-leaving work in an hour-wanna take the boys for a walk or make a pitcher of sangria.
Mel-sangria. let the boys play.
Me-ok-leaving now...on my way!
That's how a great night begins. Promise. We are totally psyched to have Dan, Mel and Jack as neighbors. We love Jack's middle name (Dignan-yup like Dignan from Bottlerocket!), his toys, his swing, Mel's hilarity, stories and sangria...ok, we're fans! The boys had fun throwing balls at each other and stealing each other's drinks. Dillon showed off his ability to cram 18 goldfish in his mouth (and that's just in his right cheek). We played. We drank sangria. We laughed. We ate. We cried. We fell. We drank more sangria. We swung. We barked at dogs and people. We drank all the sangria! We ran through sprinklers. Then we went home and slept. It was perfect!

54 days until the first day of fall (and counting!), 17 days until the English Premier League starts up again (Go Gunners!), 26 days until the U.S. Open begins (Come on James Blake!), 33 days until labor day and zero days until Kelly Willey's birthday-HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELLY...bottoms up! Here are a couple photos from Mexico to inspire us to get back there real soon. Love you. I am SO happy to have known you since preschool! Mwah.

W.E.E.K.E.N.D.
Sadly there was no Dark Knight as it was sold-out-all-weekend-long. Sigh. Since Chris and I were already out we decided to take advantage of a little time off(funny thing about time off is when you don't have much of it you forget what to do with it-we drove around for thirty plus minutes debating what to do!). We ended up going to eat sushi at Tei Tei and play a couple of quick games of pool. Motherhood has done horrible things to my pool game! Trivia question-who sings Life in a Nothern Town-do you remember this 80's tune? Answer to follow. Stumped Chris and I for a bit!
The rest of the weekend was standard (and a blast!). We played. And played. Slept. And played some more.

PRE NAP ADVENTURE!
