54 days until the first day of fall (and counting!), 17 days until the English Premier League starts up again (Go Gunners!), 26 days until the U.S. Open begins (Come on James Blake!), 33 days until labor day and zero days until Kelly Willey's birthday-HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELLY...bottoms up! Here are a couple photos from Mexico to inspire us to get back there real soon. Love you. I am SO happy to have known you since preschool! Mwah.

W.E.E.K.E.N.D.
Sadly there was no Dark Knight as it was sold-out-all-weekend-long. Sigh. Since Chris and I were already out we decided to take advantage of a little time off(funny thing about time off is when you don't have much of it you forget what to do with it-we drove around for thirty plus minutes debating what to do!). We ended up going to eat sushi at Tei Tei and play a couple of quick games of pool. Motherhood has done horrible things to my pool game! Trivia question-who sings Life in a Nothern Town-do you remember this 80's tune? Answer to follow. Stumped Chris and I for a bit!
The rest of the weekend was standard (and a blast!). We played. And played. Slept. And played some more.

PRE NAP ADVENTURE!

WE ATE OUR WEIGHT IN WATERMELON-ALL-DAY-LONG!

WHILE DILLON NAPS...

MY NEMESIS

AND THERE'S ALWAYS THIS

BUT THIS MAKES BOTH OF THE ABOVE MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE!

EVEN NICO DOESN'T WANT TO GO OUTSIDE!

THIS

THEN THIS

EATING CHEESE (loves cheese!) RAVIOLI SANS ONESIE FOR OBVIOUS REASONS

PERFECT END TO A HOT DAY!

Answer to above trivia question-Dream Academy...you tube is malfunctioning-will post video asap. You know this song-promise.

WELCOME AUNTIE C-we hope you stay forever. xoxox
Upon my aunt's arrival to Dallas we treated her to our favorite haunt-Momo (not to be confused with Momo's the chain). Dillon fell asleep in the car on the way there, which is very uncommon and for sure to be blamed on a fifteen minute afternoon nap (thanks to a playful kitty hiding under his crib!). He sweetly slept in my lap (cheek pressed against my chest) until my dad tried to get a photo of this rarity. He awoke immediately and got into pose mode. Kid loves the camera! The rest of the meal Dillon practiced his "chhhhhh's" and "dadas" at a not quiet but not deafening level. Dillon LOVES cheese and loves to ask for it (scream for it!). All our love.

Dillon's first haircut. Thanks Christin-you ROCK! xoxox

For the first time in my life I have very few pictures to share (and from a vacation no less!). I learned a ton on a recent trip to Destin with Chris, Dillon and my parents. First I learned how hard it is to photograph a toddler who wants to be nowhere but on your hip. Sigh. He didn't LOVE the beach and the sand, but Chris and I sure did...two books and many coronas later we are home and here are the handful of photos I have. Mimi and Papa get ready-next trip is Chris and I sans Dillon! Can you guess where he'll be?! ;) xoxox

We spent the 4th at the Lake Highlands Parade! Long gone are the days of beer and BBQ-enter red wagons and red balloons. Happy. Thanks Mel, Dan, Jack, Greg , Ash and Turner for a fun morning. xoxox
